Taste of the Nation

The Taste of the Nation event at the Tobacco Warehouse was a wonderful event. For everyone that missed it come next year. It's a beautiful setting, with great food, a
fashion show and a great time for all.


"Most of the fun transpired in the huge, main area, where a catwalk was erected centerstage. Midway through the evening, bootylicious models shook their bods in fashions by Big Girls United, designed for "thick and sexy ladies." Brooklyn Industries (with several locations in the borough, and two Fifth Avenue shops in Park Slope), Razor for men, and Serene Rose (who supplied garments by Shawn Christopher Kelley's "Christopher" label) contributed outfits for the runway."

Bigger sized shirts

As promised we've found several designers who design for bigger sized men. We have t-shirts, polo shirts and button-down shirts. We have from plain to ... not so plain. :-)

The Buckler's are in.

We have three lines of Buckler, a light wash, a dark wash and one with a brown, tanin wash. The light denim has some of the best baked in creases I've seen or felt and only slightly distressed. The dark wash has these big stitches along the top part of the side seams. The stitching is discreet enought to wear the denim to work. The denim with the brown wash is a beautiful pair of denim; great wash, slightly distressed, with great fit.

Antik and Tavartini Denim

We've reordered Antiks and should have 6 new styles fairly soon. We're also adding Tavartini denim to our collection. The Tavartini's will be the first of our raw denim styles.

1921s and Buffalos have come in

We have 3 new styles of 1921s in -- and a fourth, the one with the big stiching -- is coming soon. We ordered up to a size 38.

We also have a few new styles of Buffalos. I love the washes, perfect for the summer.

We don't have any narrow-legged denim yet (except, of course, for those Yanuks) but we should be getting our Bucklers by the end of the month and at least two styles will be narrow-legged.

T-shirts and polo shirts galore

We just got in a crazy amount of new t-shirts and polo shirts from 3rd Born, division E, vintage red, KRZNA, and revolution. Along with our existing styles from Buffalo, French Connection, and all the smaller designers we have a fair collection of styles. Most of the collection is designed with the slimmer individual in mind but some such as KRZNA (pronounced Krishna) are designed for larger framed men.

We're constantly looking for styles for the bigger guys. We will find Razor quality designs for you too.

Belt Buckles

We've received a lot of new belts and belt buckles over the last couple of days, (Bill Adler Design and Brave Leather). Also, for those who've been waiting for the size 36 and 38 brown "loop" belts -- they've finally arrived.

Small Antiks are going fast

If you're under a 32 waist come on by, we may be out of your size soon.

Brave Leather Belts

We have word from Brave Leather. Our order of belts should arrive the first week
of June. So many people have asked about the antique brown loop belts that I think
they'll go very quickly.

Kathy Seff Cufflinks

We have brand new collection of Kathy Seff Cufflinks. She redid more of those incredible white and gold herringbone print cufflinks. So stylish and works great in conservative settings, so hard to combine the two, but she pulled it off.

Three styles of Buffalo

We have three new styles of Buffalo by David Bitton and restocked several styles that were running low in the smaller styles. All three of the styles start at a 28 waist.

One of them has great back pocket stitching that is reminiscent of Antik Denim.

The Double Pocket Yanuks have come in

For those of you asking for the double pocket Yanuks, the reorder has arrived. We
ordered a full run from 29 to 38.

The Antiks have been delayed Again

And, unfortunately some of the funkier styles we ordered were not cut.

Bill Adler Design Belts and Belt Buckles

Belt and Belt buckle separates have arrived. We have 8 new styles of belts and
over 20 new styles of belt buckles.

Awesome new Yanuks

These are some of the best denim I've seen, an awesome dark wash, with a narrow
leg and double back pockets. They're not inexpensive but they look great.

The Latino Royalty Collection has arrived

Awesome belts, and a fun selection of button-downs and t-shirts.

The Antiks have been delayed

The delivery has been pushed back from March 30th to April 30th. Sorry to
disappoint everyone.

Denim Show

Black and gray denim looks ruled at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, with premium denim designers such as Antik, Yanuk and Taverniti sending models out in faded, whiskered and thrashed jeans accented with shiny hardware.

At nearly all shows, pockets showed up in unexpected places – down the thighs and at the back of the knees. Zippers popped up on back pockets, diagonally across front pockets and at the ankles.

Antik, known for its intricately stitched back-pocket designs, continues its hot denim status in L.A. and O.C. Bright, red plaid tops were mixed with mostly grayish denim.

Yanuk is trying to get a leg up on the massive denim market with an edgier and bleakly futuristic collection of soft gray denim and corseted, dresslike tops.

Up-and-comer Taverniti (by the son of Yanuk designer Ben Taverniti) offered up denim full of hardware touches and considerable stitchwork.
